Det er nesten ingenting som er like vakkert som en gravid kvinne. Å leve gjennom et svangerskap og føde et barn viser oss hvor sterk vi kvinner egentlig er. Samtidig som våre sterkeste sider kommer fremme viser fedre sine sårbarhet og følelser mye tidligere. Jeg gleder meg alltid når kundene bestemmer å ta gravide bilder ved siden av de nyfødte. Husk å bestille fotografering av nyfødte med god tid slik at jeg kan skrive termindato inn på boken!

Med barn i magen

Jeg synes det er helt UTROLIG at det er nå 3 år siden jeg begynt med nyfødtfotografering. Jeg er like glad i å fotografere de alle minste i dag en jeg var 3 år siden! Jeg vet at jeg har sagt det mange ganger før, men det er noe helt spesielt med å fotografere de alle minste babyer. De er sårbart og vakre, men det som gjør med veldig lykkelig er å være vitne til den overveldende kjærlighet de nybakt foreldrene har for sine ny barn.
Men, det er ikke bare snakk om vakre nyfødte babyer! Først kommer de fra noe vakre mager! Jeg elsker å ta bilder av gravide og synes alle som skal bli mammaer bør fange øyeblikket før det er for seint! Med dette har jeg lagd en ’belly’ til baby pakke for dere som ønsker både gravide og nyfødtbilder.

Ahhh, Elisabeth. You’ll remember this image from her first maternity shoot in the summer of 2008.
I was really happy when Elisabeth told me she was having baby number two , in the WINTER! January in Norway is a time when you go into hibernation. It’s cold, it’s windy, it’s gray – but I was so excited for the challenge of creating artistic, out of the box maternity images and I must say, we met that challenge HEAD ON. Elisabeth was a trooper. The first session had to be postponed due to the -21C temperatures, so we were really pushing it when we finally did meet, a week or so before her due date. Elisabeth was up for anything and didn’t complain once. I’m so happy that my visions turned out exactly as I had hoped, and we really did cut it close. Elisabeth gave birth 15 hours after her last image was taken!! Stay tuned to the blog for her newborn images!

A Growing Belly Is a Thing Of Beauty

I am in love. I can't help but want to reach out and touch an expecting moms belly. I don't know what it is, but I am drawn to them. Maybe it's the sense of unity and fellowship I feel, a commonality between mothers and a sense of joy that we are able to nurture these small beings, keeping them safe until it is time to release them to the world.
With the launch of our Belly to Baby program, I introduce a unique twist on basic maternity portraits, focusing on the joy and beauty of your growing belly…beauty that is transferred to exquisite, artistic fine-art maternity portraiture. We want to show the world how beautiful you really are, at a time when you might be feeling heavy, emotional and anxious.
